'Frozen' accompanied by blizzard in Rolling Meadows

Meadows Christian Fellowship Church in Rolling Meadows used 8 tons of ice to make “blizzards” every 15 minutes between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Friday before showing, appropriately, the movie “Frozen.”

Showing an outdoor movie is an annual community event for the church, but this year it added a twist, bringing in Snow Making by Sturm from Lake Geneva, Wis.

“They can make snow (in temperatures) up to 105 degrees,” said Laura Celmer, ministry coordinator for the church, at 2401 Kirchoff Road.
