Hoffman Estates recycling event Aug. 9
The village of Hoffman Estates is partnering with the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County to host a one-day recycling event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Susan H. Kenley-Rupnow Public Works Center at 2305 Pembroke Ave. SWANCC is sponsoring a combined document destruction and electronics recycling drive. There is no cost to attend, but the event is for residents of SWANCC-member communities only, and proof of residency is required. Simply drive to the public works center, and workers will unload the recyclables from your car. All paper is shredded on site by Accurate Document Destruction, a division of Groot Industries Inc., and all electronics will be recycled by Com2 Recycling Solutions.
