Charlie's Center for the Arts Event Coming to St. Charles

July 22, 2013, St. Charles, IL. - The St Charles Arts Council, in partnership with the St. Charles Park District, is delighted to announce the 2nd Annual Charlie's Center for the Arts - ALL of the ARTS, ALL over TOWN Event. The Charlie's event will run from Thursday, Sept. 11 through Sunday, Sept. 14.

For that long weekend in September, the arts council and the park district, along with their arts and civic partners have organized an event that will turn the city into an Arts Center.

Charlie's features multiple artistic disciplines in venues all over the city including visual art galleries/studios, a film festival, music, literature/spoken word, dance, and live theater.

Featured events include the Film App Festival, whose Opening Night screening of the cult classic Night of the Living Dead will be playing at the Arcada on Sept. 11, two neXt gallery pop-up art gallery locations open all weekend long, the Fine Line Creative Arts Center's 35th anniversary social and concert, and the closing day Jazz Age Party in the Park featuring The Fat Babies Classic Jazz Band at Pottawatomie Park on Sept. 14.

East Side, West Side, and Downtown - ALL over TOWN - residents and visitors will be treated to an incredible array of arts programming.
