Register children for KASPER at the Schaumburg Park District

Every day is a new adventure at KASPER.

Each child will have a blast at KASPER. With a variety of programs, field trips, friendships and exceptional staff, KASPER is a child care program unlike any other. The Schaumburg Park District offers KASPER at District 54 schools and the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

Kids will enjoy a multitude of activities all year round. KASPER runs 7 to 8:30 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. during the school year, as well as all in-service and institute days. Additionally, winter, spring and summer break camps are offered.

It is never the same day twice at KASPER. The program offers six different zones with various activities for children to participate in. Activities range from arts and crafts to sports, games to creative play and more. Quiet areas are also available for those who wish to do homework. Special activities vary depending on the season, and include summer KASPER Day at Bock Neighborhood Center, weekly field trips, daily snacks and more.

"We treat every child as an individual," said Sue Reissinger, Kasper supervisor. "That's why we offer so many activities, because we know what works for one child might not work for another."

Fall registration is still open but filling up fast. Registration can be dropped off or mailed to the Community Recreation Center. Space is limited to 50 children per day, per school, with limited three-day availability.
