Lake Villa Township Baseball hosts its inaugural golf outing and silent auction Friday, Sept. 12, at the Antioch Golf Club, 40150 Route 59, Antioch. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Dinner will follow golf play at 3 p.m. Silent auction and raffle opportunities end at 4 p.m. Lake Villa Township Baseball is an not-for-profit organization that includes more than 500 athletes from the Lake Villa and Lindenhurst community. The aim of the event is to raise awareness of the organization, while generating excitement for the sport in the Lake Villa community. The cost of the golf outing is $100, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, dinner and a fun day with friends while supporting the organization. There will be opportunities to win prizes during the day through play, raffles, or the silent auction.
