Be aware of street closures for North Aurora Days

North Aurora Days is coming soon and there is something for the whole family to do, with numerous events and activities scheduled throughout the weekend. See www.northauroradays.com for event schedules and details.

There are planned road closures and detours that the public should be aware of whether they are attending the festivities or not. Visit northauroradays.com/traffic to download the Traffic & Parking guide in PDF format.

The guide details road closures, traffic detours, temporary parking restrictions, official event parking and pedestrian crossing locations.

Oak Street will be closed between Acorn and Randall Road from 9 a.m. Friday 9 a.m. until about 1 a.m. Sunday. Local traffic will be allowed access to Silver Trail from the east. Follow the posted detours.

In addition, Clocktower Plaza will close to vehicles for event set up at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, and at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2. Vehicles in the Plaza after these times may be towed at the owner's expense.

The North Aurora Police Department also would like to make the public aware of the following rules that apply to the Clocktower Plaza Mainstage events Friday and Saturday: no alcoholic beverages brought in from outside event; no alcoholic beverages taken out of event boundaries; no skateboards, roller blades, or bikes are to be ridden in the event area; and no animals, except service animals.

Patrons are welcome to bring lawn chairs, strollers, and wagons.
