About 3:50 a.m. Friday, police saw two people approached vehicles parked in driveways in the 600 block of Greenbrier Lane, reports said. Believing the two had or were about to commit unlawful entry to vehicles, officers stopped both subjects, reports said.

An investigation, for which Wauconda police provided a K9 unit, found several unlocked vehicles in the area had been entered and items stolen, reports said.

The two were taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.
