Celebrate summer during a picnic with the Schaumburg Park District

The Schaumburg Park District is hosting the final summer picnic of the season!

Enjoy an evening of fun from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Aug. 14 at Volkening Lake, 900 W. Schaumburg Road.

Children will enjoy moon bounce inflatables, carnival games, music and face painting. Barbecued food also will be available for purchase. Bring the whole family and partake in an unforgettable night!

"There's nothing more American than a good old fashioned summer barbecue," said Heather Hagstrom, aquatics supervisor. "Residents that come to Volkening Lake will enjoy good food, great entertainment, and even better company."

Cost for a wristband is $2 and includes all activities. Meals will be available for $3 and include a brat or hot dog, chips and a drink.
