Dundee Lions host Cutest Dog Contest

Aliya Spears' dog Chance is the big winner for the first Cutest Dog contest at the Tail Wagging event for East Dundee. The contest was sponsored by the Dundee Township Lions. Finishing second was Angel and third was Jemma.

The public voted on the Lions' Facebook page for their favorite dog the last three weeks. A total of 28 dogs were in the contest.

Jim McClung, president of the Lions, said "we were pleased with the excitement and interest generated by the contest." Because of this the Lions have started a new contest where people can now vote on a dog and owner look-a-like. He pointed out this is all in good fun.

The Lions take pride in raising funds for community organizations as well as providing events for family fun. Last year the Lions raised nearly $10,000 to give back to the community.
