Food Truck Frenzy to precede free 7th Heaven concert

From 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, food trucks will be serving their wares at Palatine Park District's new Food Truck Frenzy event. The event will include food for purchase, free raffles, giveaways and more. The trucks will be parked in the Family Aquatic Center parking lot, 340 E. Palatine Road, Palatine.

Food trucks scheduled to appear include Babycakes Gourmet Pancakes, Chicago Pizza Boss, Flirty Cupcakes on Wheels, Gelato Italiano, Mario's Kart and Toasty Cheese.

The Food Truck Frenzy will precede the last evening concert in Palatine Park District's popular Sounds of Summer free concert series. 7th heaven will be performing from 8 to 9:30 p.m., at the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 262 E. Palatine Road, Palatine.

7th heaven has charted No. 1 on the Midwest Billboard Charts twice in the past two years. The band has been heard on over seven radio stations in Chicagoland with their hits "Better This Way" and "Sing." Also known for the famous "30 Songs in 30 Minutes" medley of songs from the '70s and '80s, 7th heaven has been an entertainment staple for 29 years.
