Event highlights will include plenty of main stage entertainment; a children's stage will have activities for younger participants; a business expo, where prominent businesses will market their products and services; and other attractions including our annual Summer Celebration parade, golf tournament, carnival, and bingo.

The event is sponsored by the Streamwood Chamber of Commerce, Streamwood Park District and village of Streamwood.

The parade will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 26. A parking ban will be in effect along Streamwood Boulevard, from Oltendorf Road to Madison, from 7 a.m. until one hour after the parade concludes to accommodate staging and clean up. At 9 a.m., East Streamwood Boulevard will be closed from Bartlett Road to Oltendorf Road.

Summer Celebration offers fun for the whole family with carnival rides throughout the event. Watch the kids as they enjoy riding a merry-go-round or playing in the moonwalk. Join in the fun on the giant slide and yo-yo swings. Additional rides include the Dino Ride, Tilt-a-Whirl, Himalaya and more.

Tickets are required for all carnival rides. They are $1.25 each. Most rides require 1-4 tickets. On Saturday and Sunday, we offer unlimited rides between noon and 4 p.m. with the purchase of a wristband for $18.

Games for children include Basketball Shoot, Hot Shots (water balloons), Hi-Lo Striker and Mini-Golf. For younger competitors, we'll offer a Bucket Game, Duck Pond and Fishing Game. Ticket prices are the same as for the carnival.

The Children's Craft Activity Area will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. Prices for crafts such as Sand Art, Sun Catchers and Foam Art range from $1.25 to $3.75. Open Easels for young Rembrandts is free.
