Arlington Heights

• Vandals punctured the rear passenger's-side tire between midnight and 10 a.m. July 7 on a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am on the 600 block of West Rand Road. Damage was estimated at $130.

• Vandals punctured the rear passenger's-side tire between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. July 5 on a 2005 Pontiac GTO on the 700 block of West Rand Road.

• Vandals scratched the entire passenger's side of a 2005 Acura TL between 7 p.m. July 4 and 9 a.m. July 5 on the 1200 block of South Wilke.

• Vandals broke the rear driver's-side window between 5 p.m. July 3 and 1 p.m. July 4 on a Hyundai Santa Fe on the 800 block of South Vail.

• Thieves stole a cellphone valued at $100 between 12;40 and 12:50 p.m. July 1 on the 200 block of West Rand Road.

• Thieves stole a cellphone valued at $150 between 10:20 and 10:30 p.m. June 26 on the 800 block of West Dundee Road.

• Burglars broke into a home on the 500 block of East Burr Oak between 1 and 4:43 p.m. July 6 and stole jewelry and gift cards.

• Burglars broke into a home on the 800 block of South Bristol around 5:29 p.m. July 5 but nothing appeared to be missing. Damage was estimated at $250.

• Burglars broke into an apartment on the 900 block of East Golf Road between July 3 and 6. It was not clear if anything was missing.

• Thieves stole a green mountain bike, value estimated between $400 and $500, between July 1 and 7 on the 1400 block of East Central Road.

• Thieves stole a blue 21-speed bicycle and bike lock between July 3 and 7 at 45 W. Northwest Hwy. Value was estimated at $200.

Des Plaines

• Six Des Plaines men were arrested around 1:50 a.m. June 28 on the 1900 block of South Chestnut Street and charged with aggravated assault and mob action: Luis E. Gomez-Garcia, 21, of the 2900 block of South Curtis Street; Enrique Gonzalez, 20, of the 1800 block of Illinois Street; Carlos Gonzalez-Marin, 25, of the 1300 block of East Prospect Avenue; Israel Hernandez, 19, of the 800 block of East Oakton Street; Jimmy Nelson Montesinos, 21, and Jesse Olivar, 20, both of the 1300 block of East Prospect Avenue. Olivar, and Gonzalez were also charged with minor consumption of alcohol. Montesinos and Gomez-Garcia also were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Their court date is July 29.

• Jose F. Benavidez-Carranza, 34, of the 1300 block of Prospect Avenue, Des Plaines, was arrested around 4:54 p.m. July 7 on the 1400 block of East Ellinwood Street and charged with battery. His court date is Aug. 8.

• John Kyle Greenan, 25, of the 700 block of Leicester Road, Elk Grove Village, was arrested around 3:46 a.m. July 5 on the 1400 block of East Oakton Street and charged with possession of marijuana and DUI. His court date is July 22.

• Samuel A. Lewis, 56, of the 300 block of East Seegers Road, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 3:11 p.m. June 21 at Sam's Club, 101 W. Oakton St., and charged with two counts of battery, assault, reckless conduct, and disorderly conduct. His court date is July 29.

• Burglars broke into a van between 8:30 p.m. June 27 and 7:30 a.m. June 28 on the 100 block of West Dover Lane and stole a 2.5-ton jack, battery charger, scanner, drills, and two buckets containing various hand tools. Loss was estimated at $4,000.

• Burglars stole a wristlet valued at $210 between 5:27 and 6 p.m. June 30 out of a motel room at 1207 E. Touhy Ave.

• Thieves stole the catalytic converter valued at $100 between 5:45 and 10:15 a.m. June 30 from a vehicle in a lot at 2025 E. Miner St.

• Burglars stole a GPS with power cord, vehicle owner's manual, an insurance card and Illinois registration card between 11 p.m. June 28 and 1 p.m. June 29 out of an unlocked Subaru on the 1300 block of Campbell Avenue. Value was estimated at $385. During the same time and on the same block, burglars stole an iPhone Jam Box speaker, insurance card, owner's manual and registration card out of an unlocked Hyundai. Value was estimated at $200.

• Burglars stole four CDs, vehicle registration card, insurance card, work ID badge and loose change between 8 a.m. June 27 and noon June 29 out of an unlocked Nissan in a driveway on the 1300 block of East Algonquin Road. Value was estimated at $40.

• Two men stole various over-the-counter cold medications valued at $500 around 11:50 p.m. June 30 from Jewel-Osco, 1500 S. Lee St., and fled in a black 2003 Mitsubishi sedan.

Elk Grove Village

• Thieves stole a 2009 Volvo tractor between 4 p.m. June 25 and 8 a.m. June 26 parked at a dock at 2679 Coyle Ave. Value was estimated at $32,000.

• Thieves stole a 2000 utility trailer containing frozen food items between 5 and 6:30 p.m. June 29 parked at Plated, 2500 Lunt Ave. Value was estimated at $55,000.

• Thieves stole a 1996 Stoughton semitrailer around 12:29 a.m. June 28 out of a lot at 1300 E. Devon Ave. The trailer had been leased and was waiting to be picked up by the company. Value was estimated at $6,000.

• Thieves stole a 2009 Volvo June 25 out of a lot at Road Concept, 2763 Old Higgins Road. Value was estimated at $50,000.

• Thieves stole a 2003 Guardian refrigerated trailer between 5 p.m. June 14 and 5 a.m. June 16 out of a lot at 2500 Lunt Ave. The trailer was loaded with frozen food products. Value was estimated at $65,430.

• Thieves stole a 2004 Wabash trailer between 6 p.m. June 19 and 7:30 a.m. June 20 out of a lot at Capitol Trucking, 1706 Estes Ave. Value was estimated at $13,000.

• James P. Welsh, 44, of the 100 block of Cherry Street, Roselle, was arrested around 12:10 p.m. June 24 at 901 Wellington Ave. and charged with criminal damage to vehicle and reckless driving. His court date is Aug. 8.

• Delores M. Ellzey, 31, of the 7400 block of South May Street, Chicago, was arrested around 12:01 June 19 at 2111 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, and charged with prostitution. Her court date is July 25.

• Stephanie L. Raszeja, 28, of the 3200 block of North 58th Street, Milwaukee, Wis., was arrested around 2:06 p.m. June 19 at 1601 Oakton St. and charged with prostitution. Her court date is July 25.

• Carlos C. Perez, 20, of the 500 block of Sussex Court, Elk Grove Village, and Remigiusz K. Roscinski, 20, of the 1000 block of Charlela Lane, Elk Grove Village, were arrested around 10:30 p.m. June 12 at 500 W. Elk Grove Blvd. Perez was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass; Roscinski was charged with possession of marijuana. Their court date is July 22.

• Cynthia M. Conoboy, 51, of the 500 block of Middlebury Lane, Elk Grove Village, was arrested around 7 a.m. June 17 at 901 Wellington Ave. and charged with theft. Her court date is July 24.

• Juisna M. Arroyo, 40, of the 600 block of West Bode Circle, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 1:40 p.m. June 16 at her home and charged with identity theft. Her court date is July 24.

• Police were assigned to 12 enforcement areas where a zero-tolerance stance was taken against those not wearing a seat belt or using the proper child safety restraint systems in a federally funded July 4 holiday traffic crackdown. Police stopped 366 vehicles and issued 367 seat belt citations, 10 child restraint violations, 18 improper use of an electronic controlled device (cellphones), nine other moving violations, one no insurance violation and 39 equipment or registration violations. One driver was arrested on charges of driving on a suspended license; two were arrested on charges of outstanding warrants, four were arrested on drug charges, including one felony for possession of a controlled substance.

• Burglars climbed through an unlocked bedroom window between 11 a.m. and noon June 21 at a home on the 500 block of Eagle Drive and stole a video game console and controller and a video game. Value was estimated at $600.

• Thieves stole catalytic converters between 9:50 a.m. and 3 p.m. June 18 from a 2005 Honda CR-V and from a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero in a business lot at 901 Biesterfield Road. Value was estimated at $2,600.

• Thieves stole the catalytic converter and manifold exhaust between June 9 and 22 from a 2004 Honda Element on the 1000 block of Busse Road. Loss was estimated at $1,000.

• Burglars broke into a 2012 Kia Sedona between 7:30 p.m. June 23 and 8 a.m. June 24 on the 1900 block of Oakton Street and stole a recording system, phone device and several hand tools. Value was estimated at $1,550.

• Thieves stole two pieces of raw aluminum between June 20 and 24 out of an open shop at WBM Inc., 415 Bennett Road. Value was estimated at $600.

• Two shoplifters filled a white bag with cosmetics and assorted hair products around 4:15 p.m. June 24 at Walgreens, 641 Meacham Road, and left in a gray SUV. Value was estimated at $1,052.

• Thieves stole the air and electric lines, two quarter fenders and the spring hanger between 5 p.m. June 14 and 7 a.m. June 16 from a 2014 Peterbilt vehicle belonging to Nu-Way Transportation, 2600 S. Lively Blvd. Value was estimated at $700.

• Thieves stole an orange and black backpack blower between 2 and 2:30 p.m. June 15 out of an open landscaping trailer in front of the business at 1890 Lunt Ave. Value was estimated at $500.

• Vandals damaged the front door and east side doors between 9 p.m. June 16 and 4:07 a.m. June 17 at Munchies Pizza, 3 Turner Ave. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

Mount Prospect

• James A. Lybold, 18, of the 700 block of Dulles, Des Plaines, was arrested around 4:26 p.m. June 4 at 1070 S. Elmhurst Road and charged with three felonies: aggravated robbery and two possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police reports said a male witness saw Lybold grab a white purse from a 66-year-old woman as she left Walgreens, 1028 S. Elmhurst Road. The witness and another man chased Lybold and cornered him in a banquet hall lot. One man held Lybold while the second phoned 911. Officers found Xanax pills, MDMA, marijuana, smoking pile and a digital scale in his pockets, reports said.

• Hannah Fisher Isquierdo, 21, of the 2000 block of North Elizabeth, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 9 a.m. June 6 at Walmart in Mount Prospect Plaza, Rand and Central roads, and charged with felony retail theft. Reports said a security agent saw her take four video game remotes, four video games, a video game controller and four cans of cat food. Value was estimated at $286.

• Vandals spray painted a 2010 Toyota 4Runner between 10 p.m. June 22 and 6 a.m. June 23 on the 1400 block of Burning Bush Lane. Damage was estimated at $100. During the same time, vandals spray painted a 2013 Honda Fit on the 1800 block of Wood Lane; damage estimated at $2,000. Vandals also shattered the rear window on a 2004 Honda Civc on the 1700 bloc of Wood Lane. Damage was estimated at $400.

• Vandals kicked and broke two exterior door handles between June 9 and 18 at River Trails Junior High School, 1000 Wolf Road. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

Prospect Heights

• Police made two drunk-driving arrests and issued more than seventeen seat-belt citations during the recent Independence Day Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over/Click It or Ticket crackdown.

• Thieves stole a red 2002 Buick Rendezvous between 8 p.m. June 19 and 8 a.m. June 20 out of an apartment lot on the 800 block of Piper Lane.

• A thief scammed a Prospect Heights resident out of $1,450 between May 1 and June 20 after she contacted Patel Travel based in New York. She paid for a ticket to India for a trip departing on June 20. She received an e-ticket confirmation but discovered that the ticket was canceled when she tried to use the ticket.

• Burglars stole a purse between 3:05 and 3:10 p.m. July 1 out of an unlocked 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe in an apartment lot on the 800 block of East Old Willow Road.

• A man was seen on a security video taking a silver BMX bicycle out of an unlocked shed between 11:55 p.m. July 1 and 12:05 a.m. July 2 at a home on the 100 block of North Elmhurst Road. Value was estimated at $50.

• Thieves stole an unlocked blue 1995 Dodge Ram pickup truck between 12:01 and 6 a.m. June 28 out of a lot at Dean Landscaping, 0-100 block of North Elmhurst Road.

Rolling Meadows

• Police made four drunk-driving arrests and issued 68 seat-belt citations during the recent Independence Day Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over/Click It or Ticket crackdown.
