Waukegan police make arrests in recent burglaries

Two Waukegan 18-year-olds have been charged in a burglary on the city's west side.

Quinton Crider of the 1900 block of North Lewis Avenue was charged with five counts of residential burglary, one count of attempted robbery and one count of resisting a police officer, according to a news release.

Crider was charged in burglaries on the 2700 block of Mohawk, the 2400 block of Cheyenne and the 2700 block of Florida, as well as in two other incidents on the 1700 block of Metropolitan.

Crider was also charged with a separate incident on the 1600 block of North Lewis where police say he punched someone and asked for money.

Jaquan S. Anderson of the 1700 block of Golf Road was charged with one count of residential burglary and one count of resisting a police officer. Anderson was only charged in one of the incidents that occurred on the 1700 block of Metropolitan.

The incidents took place between July 4 and July 17. Both Crider and Anderson have already made appearances in bond court. Anderson's next appearance in bond court was scheduled to take place Tuesday. Crider is scheduled to appear in bond court again on July 30.
