Men sing 100-part harmony in Elgin park

Northern Illinois Barbershop Chapters, a 100-man mass chorus, performed "Harmony Fest 2014," the fourth annual summer program of old, new and patriotic songs, Tuesday evening at Wing Park band shell, 1000 Wing Park in Elgin. More than 200 people watched and listened.

Performers from Elgin, Rockford, Aurora, DeKalb and Schaumburg barbershop chapters sung popular ballads and up-tunes in four-part a cappella harmony.

Local quartet Mood Makers and the Fox Valley Men of Harmony Chorus performed. Mike Bagby was the program emcee for the second year.
