The event is being hosted by Geneva Fire Department. For more on the Bliss Creek Golf Club, visit Blisscreekgolf.com. All proceeds will benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the programs that the foundation supports. For details, contact Deputy Chief (Ret.) Scott Spencer at sspencer@geneva.il.us.

In 2004, the first National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Golf Tournament was held to raise awareness and to help sustain the programs of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The foundation was created by the U.S. Congress to lead a nationwide effort to remember America's fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the nonprofit foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor fallen fire heroes and assist their families and co-workers.
