Running through Sunday, July 27, the village-sponsored event will be at the Village Green shopping center on Milwaukee Avenue at Olde Half Day Road.

The popular festival is a celebration of food, entertainment and summer fun.

This year's event features a new attraction, "Food Truck Friday." From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., food trucks serving a variety of cuisines will be present for diners. Scheduled trucks include Toasty Cheese, Grill Chasers, Louie B. Fresh, Wapaghetti's Pizza and Chicago Cupcake.

Aside from that activity, the hours are: 4 to 10 p.m. Friday; 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; and 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Restaurants scheduled to appear include: Eddie Merlot's, Kona Grill, Philly G's, Flame Charhouse, Red Mango, Prairie House, and El Barrio.

Many more will be serving dishes, too.

Additionally, the Buffalo Grove Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce booth will sell beer, wine, Mike's Hard Lemonade and mai tais.

Admission and parking are free.

Live entertainment, cooking classes and kids activities are planned, too.

The Daily Herald is among the festival's many sponsors.
