The 4th annual Mundelein Arts Festival will be Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 6 and 7, 2014, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kracklauer Park, 100 N. Seymour Ave., downtown Mundelein. This juried art festival will showcase 45 artists and craftspeople who work in a variety of media, local musicians and food. The festival will also highlight artwork by students from Mundelein and Carmel Catholic high schools. Prizes will be awarded for: Best of Show; Judge's Choice 2-D; and Judge's Choice 3-D. The Kirk Players will present an Emerging Artist Award. There are also purchase awards including Village of Mundelein's Annual Purchase Award. The festival's mission is to support the arts, provide scholarship money to deserving art students at both high schools, and bring attention to Mundelein as a place to live and visit.
