LANSING, Mich. - The Kane County Cougars snapped a scoreless tie with 3 runs in the 10th inning en route to a 3-0 victory over the Lansing Lugnuts in Midwest League action Thursday night at Cooley Law School Stadium.

After failing to capitalize several times earlier, the first-place Cougars (18-8, 63-33) loaded the bases in the 10th on a pair of singles and a walk. Jacob Rogers delivered his third hit of the game, a single that scored Trey Martin and Kevin Brown. Cael Brockmeyer added an insurance run with an RBI single that brought home Will Remillard.

Reliever Gerardo Concepcion (2-2) worked 3 shutout innings, including a perfect 10th to earn the win.

The Cougars' Duane Underwood contributed his third straight quality start with 6 shutout innings. Cubs pitcher Kyuji Fujikawa, who is on a rehab assignment, struck out two in a scoreless seventh.

The teams meet in the rubber game of the three-game series Friday at 6:05 p.m. when the Cougars send Tyler Skulina (4-5, 2.93 ERA) against Chase De Jong (0-5, 4.86).
