Prospect Heights plans cruise night Aug. 28

Prospect Heights is planning a cruise night with classic cars, food and music.

The event is scheduled to take place from 5-10 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 28, outdoors near the H.O.M.E. Bar, 1227 N. Rand Road, said Pardeep Deol, acting assistant to the city administrator.

Officials say the event could draw 150 to 500 people, and the city should get enough sponsors to pay the $2,500 to $5,000 cost.

"It's a great event," said Mayor Nick Helmer. "I'm sorry I sold my '64 Mustang."
