Reports: Preckwinkle rules out running for Chicago mayor

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle has ruled out running for mayor of Chicago, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

Preckwinkle's name had been floated as a potential challenger to Mayor Rahm Emanuel for months.

Emmanuel could still face a challenge from Alderman Robert Fioretti and Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis, the Tribune said in its report.
