North Shore fest offers a variety of choices

The Libertyville Sunrise Rotary is sponsoring the fifth annual North Shore Wine, Beer & Cigar Fest from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Lambs Farm, 14245 W. Rockland Road, Green Oaks.

Free transportation will be available between downtown Libertyville and Lambs Farm throughout the event.

More than 300 wines, 80 craft beers and an extensive collection of fine cigars will be available, and there will be a special VIP tasting from 3 to 4 p.m.

Food from local restaurants will also be available for purchase.

General admission tickets are $30 in advance or $40 the day of the event and $10 for a designated driver.

VIP admission is $150, which includes preferred parking, one hour private tasting of select wines and beer, with $100 being applied to any wine or beer purchase.

All proceeds will benefit the charities supported by the Libertyville Sunrise Rotary.

In the club's 26-year history, it has donated more than $1 million to local and international charities including literacy and scholarship programs, programs to combat hunger, homelessness, and domestic violence, the eradication of polio and others.

New members are welcome and anyone who wants to learn more can attend one of the weekly meetings.

The club is a member of Rotary International, a humanitarian service organization.
