Gospelfest, Greenbelt Cultural Center's annual celebration of gospel music, will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 13. Scheduled performers include: recording artist Tone Ross & Inspired; soloists Achante James, Elder Shelly Ellsworth, Sandra Leconte, Shelby Obelton and Tina Green; and a wide array of choirs and praise teams, including the Gideon Church Choir, Grandma's Boys, WWJD Praise Dance Team and CFFC Waukegan Praise Team. Doing Good in the Neighborhood awards will be presented to community members who have blessed others. Admission and parking are free. Bring a blanket or lawn chair; the event will move indoors if it rains. The Greenbelt Cultural Center is at 1215 Green Bay Road, North Chicago.
