Energy assistance available:

Low Income Home Energy Assistance applications for summer will be taken until July 23 at the Fremont Township office, 22385 W. Route 60. Those age 60 and over, disabled, and low-income families with children age 5 and under are eligible. Households that contain a member with a medical condition that can be improved by air conditioning are also eligible as long as there is documentation from a doctor within the past 90 days. This summer program provides a flat grant of $150 to help with cooling costs. Income guidelines apply. Call Nancy at (847) 223-2847.
