Elgin

• Daniel Gonzalez, 21, of the 1100 block of Abbott Drive, Elgin, was charged Monday with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a minor between the ages of 13 and 17, according to court records. Gonzalez was five or more years older than the victim. The offenses occurred between May 1, 2013, and July 3, 2014. His bail was set at $100,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is July 16.

• Brandon L. Roby, 18, of the 300 block of Belmont Avenue, Elgin, was charged Monday with failure to register as a violent offender against youth, according to court records. He is accused of knowingly failing to register prior to Dec. 28, 2013, for his yearly registration, and he also failed to register within five days of being released from Kane County jail June 23, 2014. His bail was set at $35,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Friday.

• Jerry Hollingsworth Jr., 26, of the 800 block of Silverstone Drive, Carpentersville, was charged Monday with aggravated domestic battery and two counts of domestic battery, according to court records. He is accused of strangling a person, who is his family or household member. He also bit the person on the arm and punched the person in the arm and legs several times. His bail was set at $50,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is July 14.
