Police enforcement results:

Lake County sheriff's police announced Tuesday the results of a Fourth of July weekend crackdown on impaired driving and boating. Officials said the long weekend resulted in 214 citations, including eight drunken-driving arrests. Sheriff's deputies issued 36 seat belt citations, six child restraint citations, six using cellphone while driving citations, five illegal transportation of alcohol tickets, 13 driving while license revoked/suspended citations and 51 speeding tickets. Extra emphasis was given to the late-night hours when statistics show the highest number of motorists drink and drive and the fewest buckle up, officials said.
