Hoffman Estates pool party to benefit disadvantaged kids
A fundraising event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Seascape Family Aquatic Center in Hoffman Estates. The "Splish Splash Family Bash" is new in 2014 and will include activities such as swimming at the water park, a dinner buffet and music. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of HE Parks, which provides disadvantaged families with scholarships to Hoffman Estates Park District programs. Suggested admissin is $5 for kids 15 and under and $10 for adults 16 and over. There is no charge for children 3 and under. The foundation is encouraging participants to make additional donations. Tickets are available online at heparks.org (Program #800005) or by visiting one of the park district's facilities
