Warren Twp. Dist. 121 seeks to fill board vacancy

The Warren Township High School District 121 school board is seeking to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Larry Stried. Anyone interested in being considered for appointment to serve until the next regular election in April 2015 should submit a letter of intention and a brief résumé to: Board of Education, Warren Township High School District 12, Attn: Jeanne Love, board clerk, 34090 Almond Road, Gurnee, Illinois 60031. Faxes may be sent to the district office at (847) 548-0661 or email to jlove@wths.net. All letters and résumés must be received by 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 10. Prospective candidates must be at least 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States, a resident of Illinois and District 121 for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment and a registered voter. There are prohibitions about being a sex offender, holding an incompatible public office, interest in any district contract, being a school trustee and holding certain types of state or federal employment.
