Enjoy the rides at Cary Cruise Nights

The Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to Cary Cruise Night 2014 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays at West Main Street and Jandus Road, off Route 14 in Cary.

It is hosted by the chamber and the village of Cary. It is one of the oldest car shows in McHenry County.

Cary Cruise Night offers a different theme each week but all cars are welcome every Wednesday at the car show. The theme is used for judging only and trophies and ribbons are awarded to first- and second-place winners. Cruise Night will also feature special activities such as split-the-pot raffles, free raffles for great prizes including dinner at local restaurants, free giveaways and more.

During the summer, there will also be special events at Cary Cruise Night, including mini business expos and entertainment. Public parking for the event is free in nearby commuter lots. Food and refreshments are available during the event at The Tracks Bar & Grill, Galati's Pizza & Pasta, Tapas Calpe in Orchard Prime Meats, Cary Pub. On site at Cruise Night you can grab a slice of pizza from Jimano's and a shaved ice from the Kona Ice truck.

The themes will be: Red, White and Blue Car Night on July 2; Convertible Night on July 9; Cadillacs, Lincoln, Mercury Night on July 16; Pontiac/GTO Night on July 23; Mopar Night: Chrysler, Dodge, Viper on July 30; 1950s and '60s Muscle Car Night on Aug. 6; Truck/Emergency Vehicle Night on Aug. 13; Corvette/Chevy Night on Aug. 20; and Winner's Circle - Display Ribbons on Aug. 27.

On Sept. 3, a Fox River Grove Cruise Night will be held at the Car-X Auto Service lot, 915 Route 22.
