Afternoon of Music and Song was a success!

Crystal Lake, IL - On Wednesday, June 25th at 1:30 p.m., the musically talented Anthony Kawalkowski, often called the "young Andre Rieu", brought to the Listening Room an afternoon of high quality music and entertainment. He played a variety of musical selections on the violin and piano, including: Viennese waltzes, tango, swing, country, sing-a-longs, and more. Tony, one of Chicago's premier violinists, added an elegant touch.

Guests were entertained by wonderful music that stimulated the audience. Siobhan Cottone, Lakeside's executive director, commented on the afternoon concerts held at the Lakeside Legacy Arts Park: "The audience left energized and enthusiastic. The crowd clapped and sang along to classics!" She added, "We plan on having more daytime programing for seniors and families. the Listening Room is for all ages to enjoy. Music is a language that is universal and ties us all together. This venue celebrates that!"
