At 8:24 p.m., McHenry police were dispatched to Route 120 and Northside Avenue for the crash that involved a Suzuki motorcycle and a Chevrolet truck that was pulling a generator trailer, according to a news release from the McHenry Police Department. Baehne died at the scene of the crash and nobody else was injured, officials said.

The Critical Accident Investigation Team, comprised of officers from the McHenry and Spring Grove police departments, responded to the scene for further investigation.

The crash remains under investigation. No arrests or citations were issued at the time of the accident, officials said.

Preliminary findings for Baehne's cause of death will be released after the forensic examination and toxicology are performed Monday, authorities said.
