CTA has tips for getting to and from Pride parade

The Chicago Transit Authority is giving some tips about how to better enjoy next week's Chicago Pride Parade and deal with the massive crowd that's expected to be there.

In a news release, the CTA says that to avoid the typically large crowds along Belmont Avenue for Sunday's parade, attendees might want to watch the parade from Broadway, south of Montrose Avenue.

The CTA also encourages people to take public transportation to and from the parade. Most trains will run as often as every five minutes throughout the day.

The CTA also reminds people many bus lines that run in the area will be rerouted on Sunday. For more information on bus and train service, the CTA says to visit transitchicago.com/prideparade.
