Discuss poet Robert Frost at Palatine event

The Northwest Cultural Council will host "An Afternoon with Robert Frost" from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 28 at the Palatine Public Library, 700 N. Court St., Palatine.

Dick Park and Michael Anderson, founders of the Well Curb Society, will present a 20th anniversary celebration of the society and lead an in-depth discussion of Frost's poem "The Need of Being Versed in Country Things."

The two men met at church 20 years ago and discovered a mutual love of words, and the Well Curb Society was born. They have carefully dissected one poem at every meeting, using plain language that is distinctly expressed to discover the sense of that poem.

Admission is free and refreshments will be served, but reservations are required. RSVP at (847) 382-6922.
