COD Fashion Students Earn Honors During Spring Fashion Show

Eight Fashion Studies students at College of DuPage earned honors during the spring fashion show "Dazzle."

Taylor Armstrong (Ottawa) received the Most Marketable Designs award. She also earned a $5,000 scholarship from Fashion Group International of Chicago.

Other award winners are as follows: Tomiah Oates (Lisle), Outstanding First-Year Student; Liz Rynex (Naperville), Outstanding Second-Year Student; Monica Kennedy (Aurora), Judge's Choice for a Garment; Daniela Pantazi (Bolingbrook), Best Fabric Manipulation; and Tasneem Abuhmoud (Addison), Quang Tran (Carol Stream) and Alex Jurczewski (Bloomingdale), the Above and Beyond Award.

"This event allows our students to demonstrate the skills they have learned in our classes," said Sharon Scalise, program coordinator. "We are always amazed by their creativity and talent."
