Firefighters hold blood drive in Rolling Meadows

The Rolling Meadows Fire Department is holding a blood drive Thursday, June 26, in memory of Josie Dolinsky, wife of Rolling Meadows firefighter Evan Dolinsky. She died in March of leukemia.

The blood drive is from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Rolling Meadows City Hall Council Chambers, 3600 Kirchoff Road.

Josie Dolinsky, a former Evanston police officer, received more than 200 units of blood products from blood donors during her battle with leukemia.

Proper ID is required to donate blood. A LifeSource or military ID, driver's license, passport or employee or student ID with picture and full name are approved forms of identification.
