Enjoy fireworks, open air market in Burlington

Burlington is looking forward to bursting at the seams in the next couple of weeks!

The Friends of Burlington will sell (reasonably priced!) Fourth of July LED and Glow in the Dark novelties at Old Second Bank Burlington on June 28 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Come get your party favors and support the fireworks display that will be part of the Independence Day celebration on Thursday, July 3, from 6 p.m. to after dark.

People attending the event in the park will also be able to purchase LED items and enjoy a 20-minute patriotic presentation and music played along with the fireworks. This is an event that once you experience it you never wonder why everyone wants to come to the Burlington Park! Then, just 9 days later on Saturday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Burlington will have its second Open Air Market. Water Street just behind Old Second Bank will have vendors with produce, nutritional items, photographic wall art, jewelry, crocheted items, and live music from 9 to 11 a.m. There is also Yoga in the Park at 8 a.m., Physical Boot Camp at 9 a.m., followed by the meditation at 10 a.m.

Let's make sure to make note that the Epilepsy Foundation will be there again to collect clothing and textile items along with stockpiled electronics collecting used items for recycling. All we need is you and all of your friends to make this a great day for all! Like Burlington Open Air Market on Facebook and help us grow!
