Palatine Park District Hosts Lunch Box Food Drive

The Palatine Park District Service Committee is hosting a food drive from June 16 to June 28. All donations will be given to the Palatine Township Food Pantry to help feed families over the summer. Donations will be accepted at the following Palatine locations:

• Community Center, 250 E. Wood Street

• Birchwood Recreation Center, 435 W. Illinois Avenue

• Falcon Park Recreation Center, 2195 N. Hicks Road

• Eagle Pool, 1425 N. Oak Street

• Family Aquatic Center, 340 E. Palatine Road

While all non-perishable food donations will be gratefully accepted, items suggested by the Palatine Township Food Pantry include: peanut butter, strawberry jelly, macaroni & cheese, canned meat and fish, canned meals, pudding cups, granola bars, cheese and cracker packs, juice boxes, crackers, cookies, cake mix, frosting, and candles.

The mission of Palatine Park District is to provide a variety of safe, enjoyable and affordable parks and recreation facilities and activities that will enhance the quality of life by promoting good health and well-being for all residents and visitors of the Palatine Park District.
