Friendship Park Conservatory to celebrate 25 years

Friendship Park Conservatory is celebrating its 25th anniversary and you're invited to the party.

Join the fun from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, as the Conservatory observes this milestone with music, greenhouse tours, hayrides, face painting and a balloon artist. Or check out the Des Plaines Fire Department's fire engine, a petting zoo for the little ones and works of local artists courtesy of The Studio.

Enjoy a casual lunch in the serene setting that is the conservatory. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

An ensemble group of Mount Prospect Community Band members will provide musical entertainment throughout the day.

Be one of the first 200 to arrive and receive a free plant, one per family while supplies last.

All activities are free to the public.

Friendship Park Conservatory, a facility of Mount Prospect Park District, is at 395 W. Algonquin Road, in Des Plaines.

For information, contact the conservatory at (847) 298-3500.
