The Lake County Community Foundation Names Dominica Tallarico to Board of Directors

Waukegan, IL--June 17, 2014 - The Lake County Community Foundation announced the addition of Dominica Tallarico to its board of directors. The Foundation's board is comprised of 15 directors representing the diversity and geographic scope of the county.

Dominica Tallarico, a Hinsdale resident, serves as the President of Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. Under Dominica's leadership, Advocate Condell was named a U.S. News & World Report "Best Hospital" in the Chicagoland region, a Truven 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospital and a Truven 100 Top Hospital and Everest Award winner. Additionally, Advocate Health Care was recently named as a Truven 15 Top Health System for the fifth consecutive year.

Previously, Dominica served as Chief Operating Officer at Advocate Christ Medical Center and Hope Children's Hospital. She also successfully led the development of the hospital's nationally ranked heart transplant program as well as its kidney transplant program. Dominica is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), an American Cancer Society Regional Advisory Board member and a member of the Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow Program.

"Dominica brings a wealth of expertise and energy to our board," said A. Stewart Kerr, Chair of the Foundation's board of directors. "Her inclusion in this group only strengthens our efforts, while also adding an accomplished presence in furthering our mission and values."

"I am truly honored to serve on the Board of The Lake County Community Foundation, whose work is so close to my heart. The Foundation's mission of improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable in Lake County is a natural fit with Advocate Health Care's mission and health care ministry," said Tallarico.
