Library trustee quits

Cook Memorial Public Library District board member Marti Gorun has resigned, effective immediately, officials said Friday. Gorun cited family issues as her reason for stepping down from the post, a district spokeswoman said. The board will discuss Gorun's resignation and the search for an appointed successor when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cook Park Library, 413 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.
