Little City welcomes new chief development officer

With the goal of increasing donor-related activities and fundraising initiatives at the Palatine-based nonprofit organization, Edward J. Hockfield will serve as the chief development officer of Little City Foundation, which provides innovative and personalized services to children and adults with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.

As the chief development officer, Hockfield will oversee the Development Department including special events, major gifts, planned giving, individual and annual giving, grants and all donor-related activities.

Hockfield's passion and commitment to Little City's mission is steadfast. Before accepting this position, he served as the agency's board president for nearly four years. Prior to leading the board, Hockfield was the Donor Development Committee chairman for six years.

"In my various Little City touch points throughout the years, I am continually inspired by the wonderful commitment of the many individuals who provide services to our clients," said Little City chief development officer Edward J. Hockfield. "I look forward to working with all our constituents to further this great mission."

For more than 38 years, Hockfield has been a dedicated member of Little City's family. His brother-in-law, Jerry Rose, receives services and lives at Little City and his other brother-in-law, David Rose, serves on the board of directors. Little City's Horticultural Center is named in honor of his late mother-in-law Dorothy Rose.

Previously, Hockfield served as the CEO of Time Tested Formulas, Inc., located in Long Grove.
