Celebrate the Fourth of July at Find the Flag Scavenger Hunt

The hunt is on for some Fourth of July fun!

Flags, fun and ice cream will be featured at the Schaumburg Park District's annual Independence Day: Find the Flag Scavenger Hunt.

The hunt is set for 6 p.m., July 1 at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

Get ready to celebrate Independence Day with a good old fashion scavenger hunt. Come dressed in your best red, white and blue outfit and search for flags and other red, white and blue items hidden throughout Safety Park.

"This is a great way to kick-off the holiday weekend," said Kristy McCann, manager of the Community Recreation Center. "The Find the Flag Scavenger Hunt is patriotic fun for the whole family."

Participants should arrive on time as the hunt is first. Participants will enjoy a tasty ice cream treat after the hunt.

This flag-tastic event is for ages 1 to 6 and runs rain or shine. Participants should dress appropriately. Check-in is under the Community Recreation Center tent, just south of the building. Cost is $7 for residents and $10 for non-residents.
