Pennsylvania tops Bandits to end losing streak

Locked in a pitching duel for much of the night, the Chicago Bandits came up just short in their first road game against the Pennsylvania Rebellion, falling 2-1 in Washington, PA, on Wednesday night at Consol Energy Park.

The win broke a nine-game losing streak for the Rebellion (3-10) as the Bandits (7-6) drop the first of a six-game road test.

Sarah Pauly held the Bandits to 5 hits and a lone run in the sixth to pick up the win. Michelle Gascoigne of the Bandits gave up only 4 hits in the loss.

The Bandits took a 1-0 lead in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Megan Wiggins, but the Rebellion rallied with two runners scoring on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh for the win.
