The host Schaumburg Boomers rallied in the ninth inning to tie, only to fall 6-5 in 11 innings to the River City Rascals on Tuesday night.

The teams combined to belt 5 home runs. The Rascals led 4-1 entering the ninth before Ryan McChesney belted a solo homer off closer Gabe Shaw to pull the Boomers (15-13) within 4-2. Two batters later, Jordan Dean drilled his first professional homer, a 2-run shot that tied the game at 4-4. After the Rascals scored twice in the 11th, the Boomers left the tying run at third in the bottom of the inning. Dexter Price suffered the loss in relief.
