Residents' Input Sought on Capital Improvement Program for Arlington Heights

Residents are encouraged to provide input on future construction projects they would like to see as part of the Village's five-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The Village will soon be working on its 5-year CIP, and residents' suggestions will be reviewed as part of the planning process.

A short online survey has been created for residents to express their interest in certain projects involving streets, storm water facilities, traffic signals, street lighting, etc. Surveys will need to be completed by 5 p.m. Friday, July 11.

Visit the Village's website, www.vah.com and look for the Capital Improvement Program news story on the Home Page. You can also print a survey and mail it or drop it off to Village of Arlington Heights, Finance Department, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.

The CIP typically includes projects involving the installation, maintenance and improvement of the Village's infrastructure. Infrastructure consists of streets, storm water facilities, sanitary sewers, water mains, sidewalks, traffic signals, street lighting and Village buildings.

A CIP does not include ongoing maintenance projects such as pothole repair, tree trimming and snow plowing. Resident input is helpful in the long-range planning of the CIP. Thank you for your participation in this important planning and budget process.
