Fay's event to help build special playground in SEBA Park

The South Elgin Parks and Recreation FUNdation is hosting its third annual Fay's Pork Chop BBQ Dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at the municipal annex, 1 W. State St. Proceeds will benefit the construction of the Regional Destination ALL abilities and DISabilities Playground being built at SEBA Park.

The menu includes your choice of chicken, pork chop or a combo, as well as applesauce, baked beans, coleslaw and roll. Dinners are dine-in, pickup or drive-through. Beverages will be available for a small additional cost.

Tickets are available for sale at the village hall, 10 N. Water St., from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays or from the FUNdation or park committee members for $12.

You can purchase dinners at the event on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $15.

Dairy Queen Blizzards also will be available for an additional $4 and the FUNdation will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets. The winner need not be present to win. For details, call (847) 622-0003.

The South Elgin Parks and Recreation FUNdation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for the residents of the village of South Elgin through the development, implementation and funding of recreation, education and conservation programs, services and facilities.
