On Sunday, June 8, a Court of Honor was held for Evan Carr, Austin Fink and Nate Seaver, the three latest Eagle Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 6 in Batavia.

Troop 6, with more than 60 Eagle Scouts, has been sponsored by Bethany Lutheran Church for the past 89 years. Evan, Austin and Nate, started with Troop 6 together after Cub Scouts and completed the necessary requirements to earn their Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts.

Evan's Eagle project was building a toy chest and shelving for the Hesed House in Aurora.

Austin's project was improving the signage along one of the busy trails at Red Oak Nature Center in North Aurora.

Nate organized a very successful electronic recycling drive in Batavia.

Only 4 percent of Boy Scouts earn the rank of Eagle so congratulations to Evan, Austin and Nate on your hard work and dedication to the Boy Scouts and your community!
