Video shows a 'Best Day' in Lake County

Visit Lake County has launched a music video utilizing the song "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors to showcase a "best day" spent in Lake County.

The video features scenes of people dancing and singing down Clayton Street in Downtown Waukegan, actors from "CATS The Musical" singing along at the Marriott Theatre, and Lincolnshire Marriott Resort employees dancing.

Also appearing in the video are the Independence Grove Forest Preserve, Little Lake County bloggers, a local celebrity pup named Nugget the French bulldog, plus Jordan Mills and Kyle Long of the Chicago Bears.

The version of the "Best Day of My Life" song in the video was rerecorded and sung by Lake County musician Justin Yates, who was selected for his warm voice and acoustic-style guitar playing.

"Tourism is a vital part of the Lake County economy, generating over $1 billion in tourism expenditures annually," Visit Lake County President Maureen Riedy said.

"This video is a great way to kick off the summer travel season and visually showcase how visitors can have the best day of their life in Lake County."
