Sweet Adelines International medaling chorus, the Choral-Aires Chorus, will kick off the Kane County Cougars game (Geneva) against the Wisconsin TimberRattlers with the national anthem at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 24.
The Elmhurst-based chorus invites all of Chicagoland to root for the home team, while also getting a tease of the chorus' sound, which recently earned the chorus a regional championship and eighth place worldwide.
"Our members love performing before a hometown crowd. After a recent win at regional contest, we are so excited to honor our country and our home team by singing our national anthem before this game," says chorus president Bev Hoffmeister.
Community members are invited to support the Choral-Aires' fundraising efforts by purchasing game tickets through the Chorus. Tickets for the 6:30 p.m. game are $10 and can be purchased by emailing Shelia at email@example.com.
