St. John's celebrates graduation of 22 students

St. John's Lutheran School in Elgin held their eighth-grade graduation on Friday, May 30. The ceremony was held in the church with a banquet following in the gym. The class has 22 members. Eight of these students have been together since preschool and kindergarten.

St. John's is a Christ-centered school operated by St. John's Lutheran Church. It was founded in 1866 to serve as an educational institution for the children of St. John's Church. Today, St. John's teaches preschool through eighth grade to both church and community members. The school and its academic program are fully recognized by the state of Illinois, and it has both National Lutheran School and AdvancED Accreditation.
