Arlington Hts. family hosts golf challenge to raise money for liver cancer

Rona Wolf, of Arlington Heights, will host the second Rona & Stuart Wolf Golf Challenge - a benefit for liver cancer research - at noon on July 31.

The golf tournament will take place at the Highland Park Country Club and raise money for research to cure the disease that took Rona's husband Stuart's life last year.

The first Rona & Stuart Wold Golf Challenge raised more than $60,000, according to a news release.

"I still believe deeply that one day soon this research will move from the bench to the bedside, and liver cancer will no longer take the lives of our loved ones," said Rona Wolf in the release.

Stuart Wolf raised his family in Arlington Heights and had his law practice there for 33 years. He served as a board member for the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce and Northwest Suburban Bar Association, where he rose to the office of president.
